CHARLOTTE COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WALL RAISING by SOUTH FLORIDA PGA

SFPGA FOUNDATION SETS OUT TO BUILD ITS 9th HOME IN PARTNERSHIP WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Saturday, May 29th- The South Florida PGA Foundation started work on its 9th home build through Habitat for Humanity with a wall raising ceremony. This year’s build will be done in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte County, with the home located in Punta Gorda. For the last 10 years, the South Florida PGA Foundation has partnered with various Habitat for Humanity affiliates throughout South Florida & Puerto Rico to support building homes for well-deserving families. This year, Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity selected the Brick Family to receive this new home supported by the South Florida PGA Foundation.

Grandmother to two young ladies, Teresa Brick is hoping to provide a better life by surrounding these two girls with a home that provides security and comfort.

“I am doing the best I can so that my girls will have a better life and I will not stop until I have accomplished that for them, they deserve it.”

Now the single provider for their family of three, Teresa hopes to move out of their current tight quarters and into a home that allows these young ladies to have their own space and be comfortable together.

Through the support of donors, friends and partners, the South Florida PGA Foundation moves another step closer to the goal of building a home in each of the 13 counties within its boundaries. For more information on the South Florida PGA Foundation and the associated programs, please click here.
